Mark and Harriett's wedding was held at the Deer Park Country Park Hotel in Honiton. I've filmed a couple of weddings at Deer Park previous and was confident we would capture some incredible imagery at this beautiful venue near Exeter.
I was commissioned for both film and photography, so I recruited one of my best videographers, Caitlin, to join me, while I shoot the photos. We stayed at a nearby hotel the night before, which turned out to be a good decision when we woke up to snow!
Usually it would just be us, but during the weeks leading up to the wedding I had become quite unwell. Although I had started to feel better I thought it would be prudent to commission a second photographer, Bryan, to ensure we capture the whole day perfectly.
Mark and Harriett had a very special guest; Frenchie, their adorable little French Bulldog! I quite often see dogs at weddings and they take beautiful photographs when they finally sit still!
Fortunately, the snow wasn't settling and there were moments throughout the day where the snow calmed down for us to go outside. Honestly, after the ceremony I was feeling quite poorly again and thankfully Bryan stepped in and directed the group photos. I took this opportunity to stay in the warm and capture candid guest shots. Potential clients quite often ask me what happens if I'm sick, well now you know! If I'm too ill to attend (it's not happened in eight years) I will commission an equally skilled replacement.
Mark and Harriett braved the blistery cold to capture some incredible couple photographs outside. I'm delighted with out the photos and film turned out despite the weather being against us all day. I will be sharing more images from this wedding very soon!
